I try not to wish unfortunate happenings upon other people... But there's some people that just deserve to feel pain. Some people should know what it feels like to get hurt. The kind of people that harm others. The kind of people that hurt the ones they "care" about. If nothing else they should at least understand what they've done. But to those people things will never become clear. To them nothing will ever click because to them, they will always be right. It will ALWAYS be another person fault. They are never at fault. Whatever we say. Whatever we've said goes straight in their ears, and our of their mouths as something else. And it leave us here... All we can do is accept that it is our responsibility to come to terms with what happens around us. We have to take what they force upon us and turn it into something useful. We have to make up for them. We have to keep our faith and work twice as hard. we have to.
I have to.
You know, we just talked about this in church today. There a story in here: http://www.lds.org/ldsorg/v/index.jsp?locale=0&sourceId=6c1e1f26d596b010VgnVCM1000004d82620a____&vgnextoid=2354fccf2b7db010VgnVCM1000004d82620aRCRD
ReplyDeletethat starts with the line Let me tell you a story—a parable.
.."There once was a man who wanted something very much. It seemed more important than anything else in his life. In order for him to have his desire, he incurred a great debt...."
Anyways, idk what your going through, but you don't have to make up the difference for the failings of others. I don't think its possible-because we're mortal and we all fail and hurt others. But, this talks about that law of justice-and its relationship to mercy and how both justice and mercy can be served. Its really quite beautiful-I couldn't explain it better than him (his name is Boyd K Packar). Anyways, one other part in there, near the end that I wanted to echo is
"I have carried with me a great desire to bear testimony of the Lord, Jesus Christ. I have yearned to tell you in as simple terms as I can, what He did, and who He is.
Although I know how poor mere words can be, I know also that such feelings are often carried by the spirit, even without words.
At times I struggle under the burden of imperfections. Nevertheless, because I know that He lives, there is a supreme recurring happiness and joy."
I love you Emily
and I just realized that the link didn't work. Lets try again:

I like that... but I didn't mean that we have to make up for everything they do wrong in life.. more like we have to force our lives to overcome what those people do in direct relation to us. If we can't change how they think or feel we must change it within ourselves to create our feeling of justice. If you know how I mean... hmmm...
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I know what you mean-but it reminds me of what this guy said: Joseph B Wirthin-"The way we react to adversity can be a major factor in how happy and successful we can be in life." ?maybe?
ReplyDeleteYeah kindda. dunno its hard to put into words. But yeah that's pretty much it
